THE WORD OF THE LORD FOR THE YEAR

Here on Youngospel, we are a team and together with fellow believers all over the world, we hold fast to the Head, our Lord Jesus Christ. To Him be praise and glory, now and forever more. Amen.

For this year and beyond the word of the Lord to us is clear: Sow bountifully.

The Bible says in Galatians 6:7, "Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he reap." And in 2 Corinthians 9:6, "...he which sows sparingly shall reap also sparingly: and he which sows bountifully shall reap also bountifully."

Don't run off yet. Stay with me.

The above Scriptures show clearly that God cannot be mocked and there are certain orders and principles that have already been put in place. It's like a chain reaction. You do something, and it causes another to happen. It's Cause and Effect.

The Amplified version renders that God will not allow Himself to be mocked by mere pretensions and professions, or by His precepts being set aside. This means that certain principles must be obeyed in order to produce certain results. And the amount you sow, the amount you put in will greatly determine the amount of your outcome, results, harvest.

So the question then is WHAT SHOULD WE SOW AND HOW?

That's simple. The Bible says in Galatians 6:8, "For he that sows to his flesh will from the flesh reap corruption: but he that sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."

So, the instruction is to sow bountifully to the Spirit.
This year, make up your mind to sow bountifully to the Spirit and to sow nothing at all to the flesh (sensuality). The amount you sow to the Spirit will determine your outcome.
Sow bountifully in prayer, in the study of the Word, in fasting, in fellowship, in evangelism, in discipleship, and in all other spiritual disciplines and investments.

You can't sow bountifully to the Spirit and not get good yield. A vibrant, growing, stable spiritual life is a product of bountiful sowing while a weakly, unstable spiritual life is a result of sowing sparingly.

This is the word of the Lord for us this year, and we at Youngospel are committed to helping you sow bountifully.
Remember that our God is good and faithful. He will surely give the increase as you sow bountifully.

May your wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest. But rise up, ye that are at ease; and hearken, ye careless.
