It's time to meet thy Lord


Many times, we can clearly sense the soft nudging of the Holy Spirit within us, to come and have a tete a tete with our beloved Father.
Yes! There are those moments when we go to the Throne of Grace to seek the Lord and there are times too, when our Father calls out because there is an urgency or just because we ought to be with Him. No, we can't fully comprehend our Father's acts - His thoughts are higher.

All I want to do right now, is to encourage you to respond to the Spirit's nudging.

Jesus said, "...Would that you had known personally, even at least in this your day, the things that make for peace (for freedom from all the distresses that are experienced as the result of sin and upon which your peace—your security, safety, prosperity, and happiness—depends)! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
... [all] because you did not come progressively to recognize and know and understand [from observation and experience] the time of your visitation [that is, when God was visiting you, the time in which God showed Himself gracious toward you and offered you salvation through Christ]." -Luke 19:42,44(AMP)

TAKE NOTE of the words: RECOGNIZE, KNOW, UNDERSTAND...


Would you be like the Psalmist who said, "My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming." -Psalm 27:8(NLT)

Remember Scriptures says, "Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near." -Isaiah 55:6(NLT)

Don't be too busy or weary to meet with the Lord... Tune out of the soulish realm and Go on into His presence...Don't miss the time of His visitation.

Thankfulness

Oh! How much we love the words THANK YOU, PLEASE and SORRY. It is part of etiquette and politeness. I have a friend who is very good at it. She says these words as frequent as she says I. This little act of courtesy really moves me. I like it a lot. Though it was a little bit hard for me to practice and also took a long time for me to get used to it. When I finally did, I felt wonderful. It was nice and pleasing to be around people saying those three things clearly and boldly. I gained the respect and friendliness of a lot of people. A good attitude begins with gratitude. As these three things are essential in our daily dealings with our neighbours so are they important in our relationship with God. In fact they are the most important words in our prayer. REFLECTIONS

I love new beginnings especially new sessions. As a student, a new session means another chance to make things better. To grow to become a better friend, sister, student and colleague. I look forward to correct my wrongs and employ new habits and attitudes. I wrote this short article to encourage you towards new beginnings.        As we look up the calendar of a new activity, we come face-to-face with the fact that our days are numbered in life. As the Psalmist wrote, “Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” No thoughtful person can start anything without some introspection. We are reminded of the brevity of time. We also look back over our failures, mistakes and lost opoportunities and vow that we will make better use of our time during the new session.
