I saw this comment of mine on a friend's blog post. Apparently, we had a fallout and in the middle of our back and forths, I told him this (which later ended on his blog):

Friends are here to help and support you. Anytime, we have differing opinions and you know you’re in the right, kindly try to explain that, ''No, that’s not how it is'' and do not get critical and defensive. Maybe the people you claim left you and are nowhere to be found left not because they were envious, but because of the way you responded to them. You can never conclude on anyone being NOWHERE to be found. You just don’t know what God is presently doing in their lives.

Everyone knows that a snail with direction is better than a Kangaroo with speed but no direction. Instead of allowing people FALL OUT of your life, just because you think they are not ambitious or supportive or what, just let them be. Not everyone will be popular worldwide Christians and in fact, being a popular worldwide preacher does not equate to success. Paul was popularly known, but Andrew wasn’t and that does not make any of them less in the fulfillment of God’s call in their lives.

I’m sure that you know there is something called the Ministry of Helps. There are silent labourers in the church who are holding up the popular ones even without their knowledge so, just because people are not heard of does not in any way belittle them. It is only in our society that preachers are brainwashing us with the word 'mediocrity'. I’m not surprised because when people are drinking, eating and sleeping on one man’s line of thought, they will all think the same.

We are all in this christian race together. We have misconceptions, faulty beliefs and opinions that rub in or rub off with our relationships. People are our greatest assets and not otherwise. Many people are faithful and pray for your success. Don’t lose such people and stick to sycophants and men of God who claim to inspire you but will end up using you. Even the Bible warns us against foolish philosophies and high-sounding nonsense. Apostle Paul said a lot about human wisdom and how it is mistaken for God’s kind of wisdom.

Remember, God uses the foolish and base things to confound the wise. I know you will not enjoy this my message but I better say it now than later. I rest my case.

I think the message still holds true for us today. Let go of the word: HATERS and enjoy the people God bring into your life whether they praise or criticize you. It is all for your good if you humbly pay attention and make amends where necessary.

Oh! Yes. My friend and I are still in very good terms. We are still brethren without feelings of bitterness or resentment.
