Although there is no set age for salvation since salvation is free to all, the BEST time to accept the gift of salvation is in the days of one's youth.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 says, "Remember also your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come and the years draw near of which you will say, รข€œI have no pleasure in them." Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me." (Matt. 11:29) And the Bible further stresses in Lam. 3:27 that, "It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth."

These Scriptures emphasize the necessity of coming to Christ as a youth. As young people, the cares of the world, its pleasures and excitement can distort our perception of life and eternity, but we know that youthfulness will not last forever; there will be evil days and the pleasures and vigour will all fade away.
When people grow older, more commitments and responsibilities challenge their total devotion to God, but when they grow much older they find that all was vanity. The energy and strength of youthfulness is no longer there and they can't do much in service to God.

As youths, living a life that pleases and honors God will save us from the ills and dangers of careless living, and instead cause us to flourish in excellence, favour and blessings. Thus, it is expedient that we should give our lives over to Christ, accept the free gift of salvation and submit to the Lordship of Christ in the days of our youth.
