The Bible says, "He has removed our sins as far from us as the East is from the West." Psalm 103:12 The distance from the East to the West is infinite. So God has removed our sins an infinite distance away from us. When the devil accuses you of that which God has forgiven already, remind him that when Jesus stretched out his hands on the cross, He showed us how far the East is from the West

Many years ago, I would read my Bible but I won't get anything sensible from it apart from the stories and the do's and don'ts that were also resounding in family and school rules. Back in the university, especially in my first year, I used to wonder at those guys who spoke "jargon" that sounded high and spiritual and I kept on wondering if it isn't the same Bible that I've been reading. Well, I was like the Ethiopian Eunuch in Acts 8. Philip simply asked him, "Understandest thou what thou readest?" The Eunuch replied, "How can I, except some man should guide me?" (Acts 8:30-31)

About a month ago, I was seriously uneasy and I totally did not like being in God's will..Of course, I KNEW it was God's will for me but I just kept being obstinate about it. Now, before you judge me, trust me it wasn't easy. I could totally relate with Abraham when the Lord called him out of his hometown. We all think he jumped at the idea and just went hippity hop down the lane leading to only-God-knows-where right? I doubt. I'm sure there were moments when he just sat and thought it over and over again. There must have been some seemingly impossible moments. And of course, the subtle one, the devil must have whispered discouraging thoughts to him...but he (Abraham) kept right on going as the Lord led him daily.

We all, at one time or the other, have walked home alone a couple of miles. During those moments, thoughts flood our minds: school, family, friends, job, money, marriage, opportunities, regrets, what someone said that hurt you, compliments that got you flattered, how you’ll storm the world with your idea, or much more, if you are a really creative mind, you’ll even act a movie up there in your head, and of course, you’ll be the star of the movie, and so on and so forth. Well, I had one of such days today and I want to share with you something that I know some of us are already familiar with, but quite a number of others know nothing about it.

When God said, "...Esau I hate, Jacob I love..." (Rom. 9:13) I've always thought that it was the person Esau that He hated, and the person Jacob that He loved. However, in this dimension of the revelation into this  Scripture, it's not so. I got to understand that it was bot Esau as a person that God hates but Esau as a PEOPLE. Same goes for Jacob. Now let's look closely: In the story of these twins as reported by the account in Genesis, Esau is seen as large-hearted and of course generous. One that can "beg" for a morsel is obviously large-hearted knowing that he can do same. But beyond all of this, Esau preferred sensual gratification over spiritual maturity. He was ready to let go of his birthright (which strongly signifies spirituality) just to quench his hunger. Now, let's pause there.
